DAY FIVE …. YET
10 ‘Yet the Israelites will be like the sand on the seashore, which cannot be measured or counted. In the place where it was said to them, “You are not my people”, they will be called “children of the living God”. 11 The people of Judah and the people of Israel will come together; they will appoint one leader and will come up out of the land, for great will be the day of Jezreel.
Right after warning Israel about the consequences of their sin, God says YET.
With God judgement is never the final word.
There is always a YET.
The Lord promises Israel restoration. Those who had rejected the Lord and had become “not my people” will once more become “children of the living God”
Whatever we have done, however serious the consequences of our sin there is always YET. God always offers restoration and reconciliation.
I am so glad that that simple three letter word is here in Scripture. I have let God down, I have sinned, I have made a mess in my life, YET there has always been forgiveness, always reconciliation.
No matter what you have done. God says YET, sin never gets the final word in our life when we turn our life over to God.
YET is about more than forgiveness, its God’s invitation to a new beginning
